SNB ATM cards do not expire. Typically, the expiration date for Debit Cards is five years from the original order date. Prior to your card expiring, you will automatically receive a new card in the mail approximately three weeks before the expiration date. Your original card number and PIN number will remain the same.

When you receive your card, there will be a sticker with a phone number and instructions for activating located on the card. You must call from a phone number that we have on record for you in order for the card to be activated.

You will create your own unique PIN when you activate your card. You may change your PIN at any time by calling the activation number, 855.485.7039, or at any of our ATMs. When using the ATM, insert your card into the machine and follow the onscreen prompts. If you do not know your original PIN, call us and we will be happy to assist you.

There are several reasons an ATM/Debit Card might be declined, such as: the card is not activated, funds are not available, the card is expired, the card is damaged, or fraudulent activity is suspected on card. Please call us if you need assistance in determining why your card was declined.

There is no difference in the way funds are taken out of your account if you use a PIN (debit) or sign a receipt (credit).

If you use your ATM/Debit card to withdraw funds at an SNB ATM, you will not be charged any fees. If you use your card at a foreign (other financial institution’s) machine, you will be subject to their applicable fees. SNB does not charge its customers a fee when you use your SNB card at a foreign machine. There are no fees assessed from SNB when using your debit card for a point of sale (POS) purchase.

If you discover an unauthorized charge on your account via your ATM/Debit card, call us immediately. We work with you to address this situation.

To report a lost or stolen ATM/Debit card, you must contact us or call 800.500.1044. You can also log in to your SecurLock Equip app (Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app for free) and turn your card off until you locate the card or report the issue.

For security reasons, the daily ATM withdrawal limit is $300 per day, per card. At your request, this limit may be temporarily adjusted.

For security reasons, the daily (per card) point of sale transaction limit is $2,500. If you know that you will be making a substantial purchase, simply call us or stop by one of our branch locations and we can temporarily adjust your limit.

Please notify us if you will be traveling outside of the area (domestically or internationally). We will note your travel plans on your account to reduce the likelihood of declined transactions. If traveling to a foreign country, it is best to ensure you have our Visa-branded SNB Debit Card, as standard ATM cards may not function in the country you are visiting.

If an ATM does not return your card, contact the owner of that machine.

3D Secure is a free service facilitated by Visa that lets you transact online securely using your SNB Debit Card. This service is only available on 3D Secure (3DS) merchant sites. VBV uses password protection during an internet purchase to authenticate the customer as an added fraud protection.

This provides a sense of security and prevents fraudsters from making a purchase with stolen card details. Through the use of the One-Time Password (OTP) to verify the card holder, it makes online shopping safer and more secure.

3DS provides an added layer of security by prompting you for a OTP when you make an online purchase. This helps to protect against online fraud by verifying that the customer making the online purchase is the rightful owner of the debit card.

Registration is not required. This free feature is automatically enabled on your card. Please ensure that you have updated your latest mobile phone number with us, as the OTP will be sent to the mobile phone number we have on file for you.

A One-Time Password is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, on a computer system or other digital devices. OTP is automatically generated via SMS to your mobile for authentication.

Since VBV 3DS is verifying you with our records, you will have to update your mobile number with us by either contacting us toll free at 866.482.0404 or logging into your MySNB and navigating to Manage my contact information under the Customer Service tab.

If a merchant is 3D Secure compliant, you will be able to see the Verified by Visa logo on the site.

A contactless card allows cardholders to make fast, convenient, and secure payments by simply tapping a contactless-enabled card anywhere contactless payments are accepted.

If your SNB Visa Debit Card features the Contactless Indicator Symbol On Card on the front, you can use it to tap and pay where you see the Contactless Symbol Symbol On Card Reader at many of your favorite stores.

Look-Check for the Contactless Symbol on the store’s checkout terminal. Tap-When prompted, bring your card within a few inches of the Contactless Symbol on the checkout terminal. Depending on the terminal, you may tap on, above, or below the screen. Your payment will be securely processed in seconds. Once your payment is confirmed, you’re good to go!

Contactless cards have an encrypted microchip and antenna within the plastic that transmits card information when used at contactless-enabled ATM and Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminals. To validate the transaction, a unique one-time only number is generated by the contactless payment device, keeping your payment information securely encrypted throughout the process.

Yes. Just like EMV chip and magnetic strips, the payment technology of Contactless Cards can also be damaged. If you believe your card has been damaged, please call Superior National Bank at 866.482.0404

Yes. Contactless cards are currently among the safest form of payments. It’s incredibly difficult for a hacker to recreate the one-time code that contactless cards create for each transaction. Compared to magnetic stripes that are more easily duplicated, contactless cards are much more secure.

Secure. Convenient. Fast. With contactless, the card never leaves your hand – protecting your information as the transactions are cryptographically secure and generate a unique code for each transaction – saving you time with just the tap of your card.

No problem. If contactless payment is not accepted, you insert your card or swipe like you have in the past.

All branches will be closed starting at 12pm on Tuesday, December 24th, and will remain closed through Wednesday, December 25th in observation of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
