To get started, you’ll need:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • A valid form of identification, such as your Driver’s License, Passport, State ID, or Military ID
  • Your home address (must be a resident of Michigan)
  • Bank account number to fund your account

Applicants must be 18 years or older to open an account online. There are account types available for minors. Please visit your local branch for more information.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)

Have you started planning for your future? Consider IRAs, a fantastic savings option to prepare for your retirement. SNB offers both Traditional and Roth IRA accounts. With a traditional IRA, you defer taxes on the earnings from your contributions until you withdraw your funds1. With a Roth IRA, contributions are non-deductible.

All accounts closed within the first 90 days will be subject to a $25 service charge. Other fees, such as overdraft or returned item fees, may apply. Fees may reduce earnings on the account.
